Adorable Placemats from Pat Sloan’s Tantalizing Table Toppers! Enter to WIN a copy for yourself!

I want to thank quilter-extraordinaire Pat Sloan for asking me to be part of her book tour for her newest book, Tantalizing Table Toppers by Martingale. You can’t imagine how honored I was to be included in this super fun book with easy-to-finish projects that you can get done in a weekend or less.

Tantalizing Table Toppers by Pat Sloan

One of the cute projects in here are placemats that stitch up in a snap. I love that the pattern is set to cut two at a time. This pattern is perfect for any fabric pairing that can done for Christmas, 4th of July, appliqued for a birthday party, or just every day. The only limit is your imagination!

I chose to make up 3 of these for my grandchildren to make lunch time a little more fun. For the boys, Calvin (10) & Aiden (5), I used a fat quarter of Marvel fabric and set it off with some bright red and yellow half-square triangles.

I personalized each one with their names using my Brother NQ3700D Sewing / Embroidery combo machine. I did this while we were on the road on our Gulf Coast Quilt Shop tour in May 2022. I love to bring my “Gypsy” on the road.

My granddaughter Callie (8) loves all things with animals so I chose a new fabric called Effie’s Woods, by Deb Strain for Moda. It turned out just adorable.

I finished it with a backing/self-binding method and straight line quilting. You can see the quilting better on the back.

These were so fun to stitch up! I hope you pick up this book at your local shop and stitch up your own fun. 🙂

I think they’re a hit!

A huge THANK YOU to Pat Sloan for asking me to be a part of this book tour! To see more of the goodies inside the book, check out the rest of the tour using the schedule below.
