Week in Review, 4.7.25-4.11.25
The best days begin with quilting, am I right? I know I am! Here’s what’s been happening in my sewing room this week.
Monday, Weekend Stitching Recap, the Stitchuation Room, 4/7/25-4/11/25
I gave a little update on my Firm Foundation Quilt Pattern (Etsy). I love how it’s coming out. Such a pleasant pattern. The kit I bought is from the Fat Quater Shop so they make my color choices and that makes me a relaxed quilter!

This past weekend, I finished two of the Ohio Stars for a church roof.

http://Quilted Christmas Tree Quilt. My Christmas in July Quilt A-Long (QAL). I really hope you join me in my QAL for the Quilted Christmas Tree Quilt. It’s a simple, straightforward pattern. I bought the kit from Two Chicks Quilting. They made great choices! I invited you in today’s program.

We will begin on 6 July 2025. If you want to use up your Christmas stash, this QAL is a perfect way to do it. I plan on taking this on the road with us as we are traveling that month, so you can bet I will be using a Yazzi bag (Use coupon code PTWT10 for 10% off!) – and EZStax to keep me sane. I’ll have a session soon demonstrating how to prep and cut the fabric, so beginners, don’t stress. We’ll do this together!
Check out the kit, and the pattern. It’s a great stash buster if you’re trying not to buy more fabric. The kit doesn’t include the pattern but there’s a link on the webpage for the pattern. **Fabric Kits are shipping now.**
Good grief, I love my alphabities, but mine grow legs every ten minutes. I show you a hack for keeping them where I want them to be until I want them!

Monday, The Brightly Sampler Quilt, Week 17, Fancy Block, 4/7/25
We are on the homestretch with the Brightly Sampler and I demonstrate the Fancy Block today! We are on week 17 and if you are not caught up, no worries, you’ll get there. There are lots of blocks repeated so you could crank out a few a day once you’re ready. Here’s the schedule, I am following!
I am so enjoying these blocks. The fabric is from The Fat Quarter Shop, called Strawberry Lemonade. Refreshing!

Family Favorites Quilt Book has the Brightly Sampler pattern.
Here’s the Fancy Block. Cue the music! Isn’t She Lovely?!

Getting to the homestretch and getting excited!

Tuesday: Re-create Quilt Hand Stitching on the Brother Luminaire, the Stitchuation Room, 4/8/25
We do a lot of chit chat about so many things, every day, and as we chat, we share great info on machines, straight stitching, embroidery and all.
Friends, you know how hard I work at avoiding hand stitching. I show you a hack I figured out to simulate hand stitching using my Luminaire. WOW. Don’t miss this step-by-step demonstration.
The skate block is one of the April blocks for Lorie Holtz Vintage Christmas Quilt A Long.

What would I do without this community? I would have done the laces in black, until someone suggested pink.

#MerryHometownChristmas Quilt, Little Deer Block, the Stitchuation Room, 4/9/25
Today I begin with a little summary of all of the pre-recorded video tutorials I have done and how to navigate around on my channel and be able to find the transcript to find specific topics We get into some stitchy-chatter in the stitchuation room sometimes, so if you are looking for something specific, check out my tutorials, on my home page.

If you’re watching the lives after they are posted, you can ‘scrub’ to the section you want to focus on, but I appreciate the lives because my viewers as great questions along the way that I can help them with. A viewer said, “I feel like I have a couple thousand friends from around the world.”
Me too, Friend, me too!
LegitKits Sewphia BOM Quilt, Month 2, 4/9/25
Keith is on a roll again, demonstrating the next block of Sewphia, a paper piecing quilt kit from Legitkits! Go team Keith! I really appreciate Keith’s encouraging manner. You will too! These kits are amazing. As Keith says, because of the labels, “You can be color blind and make a legit kit masterpiece.”

Once it’s done it becomes a beautiful thing. Even if you make an error, it’s pretty much unnoticeable unless the quilting police catch you!
Keith takes you step by step, encouraging all the way.

Customize Embroidery, Cinco de Mayo, Embroidery Thursday, the Stitchuation Room, 4/10/25
These Cinco de Mayo Designs from Hoop Sisters are so cute and clever, but I wanted to customize them just a bit. I show you how using the Embrilliance Essentials program. What was designed as a mug rug I redesigned for a towel and changed the wording. See how in this program.
I changed the wording in Embrilliance from this:

To this! There’s no harm in complimenting myself, right?

Finish Cinco de Mayo Towel, Giveaway Friday! The Stitchuation Room, 4/11/25
I wasn’t able to redesign and finish the towel on Thursday, so I finished it up on Friday up and bring you along with me.

I demonstrate also how to make a hanging strip for the towel a well.

Warning to all who enter my kitchen: Thou shall not touch this towel with grubby hands!

Taco ‘Bout Cute!🤣🤣
Thank you for following me on my sewing journey. I hope I can inspire you to put something on under the needle! Have a wonderful quilty, machine embroidery week!

Are you working on any Snaplique projects right now? I’ve watched a few mornings but miss the ones with emphasis on Snaplique.
Wow that is one detailed newsletter. If I missed any days – that newsletter would get me right up to speed. Love it. I really appreciate all the time it took to put that newsletter together to send out to all of us thank you 😊
Thanks for the newsletters. They make it so easy to find what I know I saw, but where is it? I’m one of those that don’t catch the live but watch the videos on You Tube every day. Watching Becky makes my day!
