The Stitchuation Room Week in Review 12/21-12/27/25 Week in Review

Monday, 12-22-25, Stitch Prim Steps Blocks, Weekend Stitching Update, the Stitchuation Room

Hope you got a chance to catch an episode of the Stitchuation Room this past week. Becky’s power tools have been humming!

Significant progress was made this past week on the Prim Steps Blocks. These are the 14 blocks based on Courthouse Steps quilt block that make the border of the Prim embroidery quilt. Becky made the process more efficient by using the Color Sort utility in Embrilliance Essentials so she could create 4 blocks at once in that ginormous 10×16 hoop on the Brother Luminaire. Becky took us step-by-step to do this in Embrilliance so I hope you got a chance to see the process in action. It’s a great tool to have in your embroidery arsenal when you find yourself doing multiples in a single hooping. She completed the last two blocks with us the next day. Each hooping takes about an hour, so the process is still long, but color sorting cuts the time into managable chumks where you feel very accomplished! It’s a big project but so sew worth it. Look at these pretty blocks!

Starting the first week of January, Becky will guide us step-by-step through creating the Celtic Topper from Sweet Pea (9:33-12:26): It’s suitable for different hoop sizes (5×7, 6×10, 7×12) and we can use materials like cork or fabric. This will be an additional live stream after the Stitchuation Room, available for replay, and Becky will treat it as a beginner’s class. Free! How exciting! Click on the link, download the file, and start a stash dive for whatever color or holiday theme you prefer. Becky will do one or two hoopings a week and aim to finish by mid-January. If you’re a beginner embroiderer, this will be so helpful. She’s a fabulous instructor!

Tuesday, 12-23-25 Kimberbell’s Sweetheart Street Bench Pillow, Block 2, The Stitchuation Room

Well, Becky’s back on Sweetheart Street. Kimberbell’s Sweetheart Street bench pillow, that is, specifically Block 2: Grandma’s Sweet Spot (0:34). Becky set this up on the multi-needle machine, programming the design, and managing thread changes (15:39). I don’t have a multi-needle, but I always learn a lot.

Becky showed us the cutest Grinch tree skirt (4:12) Finished! SO cute!

Enjoy catching up with Becky!

Wednesday Merry Christmas Eve! No Show today.

Thursday Merry Christmas! No show today!

Friday, 12-26-25 Quilted Snowman Quilt, Left Snowman Block, the Stitchuation Room

Becky’s looking for some downtime in front of her sewing machine, and we get to visit! Becky shares a rare peek into utter frustration with longarming: broken needles, a hole in her beautiful quilt, software woes and ‘choice words’ were involved (not on the video!). We can all relate to her frustration!!

Becky explains her method for loading the quilt onto the frame using SewTites magnets (5:06-5:48). It’s fantastic technique, and not the reason for the woes! Use code PTWT10 for a 10% discount!

“The Quilted Snowman” is back in town, and under Becky’s needle! She sewed as she told us her ups and downs with the snowman. It’s been in process for over a year. It will be worth the effort (13:56-14:32).

The directional fabrics are a challenge. What snowman worth his frost wants skewed fabric?

The “Prim” blocks are coming along! (15:25-16). Fourteen blocks are done. Aren’t they delightful?

Hope you enjoy catching up! Be sure to share with your stitchy friends!
