Becky has teamed up with the Fat Quarter Shop for the America 250 Quilt Along (QAL).

She told me, “As a retired 20 year U.S. Air Force veteran and a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), this project holds a very special place in my heart.”

As I write this, I am reminiscing about the 200^th anniversary of our nation in 1976. As a young adult, I was in awe of the accomplishment, so this celebration is even more important to us, who are Americans, but also to anyone else who appreciates enduring freedom.

In this year-long celebration of our nation’s history we celebrate through the art of quilting. Let’s join in!

What are we making? The stunning Peppermint Rose Quilt from the book Celebrate with Quilts by Lissa Alexander and Susan Ache. It is made up of sampler blocks and finishes at 66.5″ x 66.5″. This is a great pattern for confident beginners and quilters who love exploring a traditional quilt.

The year-long QAL runs from February2026-February 2027 and to no one’s surprise who knows Becky, she’ll be hosting an extra livestream once a month (after the Stitchuation room) to put our blocks together.
