Week in Review February 2-6/2026

Monday, 2-2-26, Prim Embroidery Pears Block, the Stitchuation Room

Happy Monday, Friends!  Becky has packed The Stitchuation Room with quilting inspiration and project updates.

Becky and Keith attended a local quilt show. She shared photos from several award categories and highlighted a quilt made by her husband Keith! You will enjoy her photos, but here’s Keith’s Legit Kit paper-pieced eagle. WOW! Guess who won a ribbon? (1:10–6:43)

Becky’s been organizing all the fabric blocks, and her stack of EZSTAX is growing! These are great to organize project pieces. You know, the ones that run and hide when you have your back turned.

Becky is using the EZSTAX to organize the fabrics for the FAT QUARTER SHOP AMERICA 250 QAL!

Here’s the pattern book .

Becky’s choice for the fabric bundle, American Gatherings III

Becky’s additional half yard for blocks. This is a substitute for the original choice as the original ran out.

Becky’s border and background (5.25 yds)

Becky’s binding. This is a substitute for the original as it ran out of stock.

Becky’s wide-back backing – 2.5 yds of 108″ fabric

All the details are here America 250 Quilt Project? Click here.

Becky gives a review of the book entitled Great Granny Squared by Lori Holt. This looks like a great book as it will help you lay out your own color patterns.

At 17 minutes in, Becky works on the Prim block featuring pears and as we watch, we see how well Prim pairs with embroidery.

Have you wondered how  Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles help with accurate design placement? They are such a game‑changer for precision stitching, and Becky explains it well and here’s a video where she shows exactly how to use them!

Enjoy the replay!

Tuesday, 2-3-26, Using Embrilliance to Customize a #DBJJ Mini Quilt; Prep Fabrics for

Colorfastness

Kimberbell Mini Quilts (2:36-3:30) are on sale! 55% off. Becky showed us her finished February mini quilt from Kimberbell and mentions that you can search on her channel for tutorials she did while she made it this year. They are sweet and work up quickly.

Becky discusses her upcoming “America 250” quilt project with Fat Quarter Shop, for which she’s using American Gatherings 3 fabric. Her method for pre-treating red fabrics to prevent bleeding using cold water and a cup of white vinegar, followed by a gentle wash and air drying is simple and to the point, and a very good idea for dyed fabrics. Vinegar is not a power tool, but it’s a powerful way to set color!

Want to join this Quilt Along? It’s such a fun way to commemorate the Birthday of the USA. Details are here. Below is the tentative schedule. ALL DATES are approximate.

Becky has a quilt, the Hen House Quilt Kit by Lori Holt for FQS (10:07-15:59) in her projects line up! She will use her Snapplique™ method, her trademarked method for converting quilt appliqué patterns into machine embroidery designs. This will be for her members only channel, so if you want to learn Snapplique™, sign up for membership. Isn’t it cute? Because of the repeating blocks, this will be quick work. SO much faster than hand appliqué! She will use her Embrilliance software to create the appliqué pieces. This project will turn out to be egg-cellent. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Hold onto your hoop, Designs by Juju is giving a 50% off sitewide sale at Designs by Juju, with 65% off Easter designs. Please use the link to help Becky’s channel (at no cost to you). I added a LOT of things to my basket today on the site!!

Have you ever really loved a design but there’s an element or two you aren’t thrilled about? It’s Embrilliance Software to the rescue. Becky shows us how to customize the DBJJ March Mini Sampler Quilt, showing us how to merge designs, replace elements (like switching a leprechaun for a flowerpot), and resize designs while maintaining stitch quality. Here’s the link to the DBJJ sketch designs.

I receive the emails, which are fabulous…thank you!!
How do I sign up for Membership?
Would that be a separate email to notify me when she is doing a Members Only event?
