A Valentine’s Jubilee Quilt from Villa Rosa Designs

I recently got in a fat quarter bundle from Fat Quarter Shop called “From the Heart” by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs.

I went digging for a pattern to make up this lovely fabric and found Jubilee from Villa Rosa Designs that takes 10 fat quarters and 1/2 yd for binding.

This pattern was very easy to make since it didn’t have any diagonal seams or finicky star points. It was cut in an hour and sewn that afternoon.  I think Blue approves.  Doesn’t she look thrilled?

I did have to use 11 FQs instead of 10 to get the red and white rows to work out properly (I needed an extra red FQ for the 3rd row). If I hadn’t of been making a two-color quilt, the 10 FQs would have worked out fine.

I used the remaining FQs to make a scrappy binding.

I ordered additional yardage from the line from the FQS for the backing and sewed my label into the binding.

I used a quilting pattern from Urban Elementz called Loopy Hearts to quilt it on my longarm.

I’m just so pleased at how this turned out! What a sweet, happy quilt!

Happy Valentine’s Day my friends!!
