Nope, I have not started yet. Its on my to do list. I am seriously considering following your lead and do the one hour timer thing so that I can sew everything I want to attempt. I am excited, but new at sewing stuff.

    • It takes a little discipline and basic organization, but the 1 hour timer is so much fun. Day by day I see my projects moving along and at the end of each day I congratulate myself on my progress on each project. It’s so incredibly satisfying. I liken it to when we were in high school, 50 minute classes at a time waiting for the bell and then going to the next subject for another 50 minutes. The hour might be spent ironing/cutting, planning with the pattern and getting supplies ready, or actually sewing. Having that time limit (that FLIES by) gives me permission to play yet still get all the necessary domestics done. I feel even more accomplished when I throw in a load of laundry and tell myself I’m multi-tasking! lol Effective time management helps to make a to-do list a to-done list! To top off the day, I take 10 minutes and I clear my cutting table, organize everything, and put things away before I turn out the light. Having a clean open surface first thing the next morning is very motivating to get busy. 🙂
