Join me for a FREE DIME Patch Party! 3-18-22 at 11AM
I’ve always wanted to learn how to make patches with my embroidery machine. Whether I want to dress up a tote or Yazzii Bag, cover a hole in a garment, or make one with my name, sometimes you just need a patch. I’m so happy to be hosting a free DIME (Designs in Machine Embroidery) Patch Party on March 18, 2022 at 11AM CST and I’d love it if you could join me. Here’s the link to register to attend. It’s no cost and you get a free patch design just for showing up! If you can’t make it that day, it will be available to watch for 48 hours after the event using a special link you get after signing up.

I won’t be demoing the products – I’ll leave that to the pros Eileen Roche and Deborah Jones. I’ll be hanging in the chat with you guys saying hi, sharing recipes, talking stitching, and pestering the pros at DIME about how it all works. 🙂 But I’m SO EXCITED to meet Deborah Jones. I took several of her Craftsy classes about machine embroidery and she has taught me a ton. She’s a wealth of information about the craft.
I’ve attempted to make patches myself before and discovered they are a whole ‘nother animal in the embroidery world so I’m excited to see how DIME makes this work. In industry, they need a different background fabric like twill, they have a specific type of heavily stitched Merrowly border around the edges, and you need a special backing if you want to do an iron-on patch. I found out that in industry, there’s such a thing as a Merrowly machine that stitches out just the borders on patches you find in the stores. You can tell that machine has been used when there’s a little tail from the stitching on the back. I’m REALLY interested to see how DIME handles the edges.
I hope you join me for this great educational event! I can’t wait! Register HERE Leave me a comment if you plan to attend.
