My ScanNCut Cabinet Meaurements

I’ve received a ton of requests for the dimensions of the cabinet that my husband made for me for my ScanNCut. There are not currently any plans for this cabinet and none are in the works. However, I’ve given plenty of measurements in the images below so if you have a Bob the Builder in your life like I do, I’m sure they can make it work. The wood is 3/4″ oak plywood. The entire concept for the size of this cabinet is that it must be wide enough to lay a 24″ cutting mat flat, have four cubbies for baskets for vinyl, accessories, etc., be tall enough for me, have a foldable back-half to hold up long mats, and be on wheels. I left the rest of the design to him. He got the wood and paint at Home Depot. Here’s the link to the casters.

Cabinet from the front. The tool cup on the side of the SNC is a Command Razor Cup from Amazon. That hanging bottle is LA’s Totally Awesome. The link for the Totally Awesome is to Amazon but you can get it MUCH cheaper from the Dollar Store.

Cabinet from the side. Tool caddy is a Command Razor Cup from Amazon.

Cabinet with the folding leaf up and supported. The wings are on two hinges and fold up flat against the front sides of the cabinet when not needed.

Cabinet from the back and length of folding leaf. That black line in the paint is from it rubbing on something. Wups!

Measurement of mat shelf and cubbies. Cubbies needed to be large enough to hold storage baskets. These baskets are from Walmart.

Length of top.

Width of top.

Width of shelves.

Length of cubbies.

Hope this is helpful!

Thank you. I do have a “Bob the Builder” x 3 in my family. Husband and two adult sons. Love watching you. I was impressed because you speak what you feel and how it either works or does not work on things. I just wish you were not on so early for me in the Pacific NW. 5:00 AM is a bit early for this old girl. Keep up the good work and be sure and tell Keith that he is appreciated.
    Best regards Cheryl

Thank you, I will pass this on to my “Bob”. I got the 330 in October. Will be cutting my Kimberbell Mini quilt appliqué pieces with you. So many projects, I have enough to carry me into retirement and then some.

Thank you Becky! This will be my summer project. For those of us that don’t have someone in the family that can do this, you can take the dimensions to Home Depot. They have people there that will cut the wood to size and have even loaded the pieces in my car in the past. Then, you just have to paint it and assemble. If you have power tools and knowledge of wood screws and hinges, you might be able to make yourself.

Love it. I’m having a hard time finding a cabinet! Unfortunately, my dear sweet hubby, that brings me coffee in bed every morning, has got a mechanical bone in his body!
