Easy Organization Has Never Been so EZ!

You know that snowmen grow legs, right? Quilt pieces grow legs while I move about my sewing room, but I had a ‘EUEREKA!’ moment when I saw the EZSTAX for the first time on Amazon.

These humble looking things make you a master fabric block organizer with the swipe of a glue stick and thin batting (cotton or poly). Everything stays neat and tidy as I move the EZSTAX around in my sewing space.

I tried them for the first time with The Quilted Snowman quilt and popped the EZ STAX into Yazzii bags. It sure got those little legs under control!

The Quilted Snowman has 324 1.5″ pieces for 27 snowball blocks! There was no way I could have done this without being this organized. The batting prevents the pieces from slipping and sliding. Four blocks fit nicely into each tray.

The completed blocks stay nice and tidy!

These EZSTAX also fit perfectly in Yazzii bags. My readers can use coupon code PTWT10 for 10% off all products on their website. Sadly, the red Maxi Yazzii below is no longer available, but keep reading for other Yazzii options that will work!

This combination is essential to me when I travel and at retreats as well. We’ve all gotten to our retreats or vacations and realized some essential tools or fabrics were missing. We are talking about a game changer for traveling!

I just can’t say enough good about these Yazzii bags.

The bags are made by hand in India on treadle machines, and the five color choices are fantastic. They help me color code!

I have 3 Yazzii bags now, filled with pre-cut quilt block pieces for 3 QALs in progress. (Quilt-a-Long). Since the EZSTAX are originally designed for office papers, 8.5″ x 11″ pattern books fit perfectly.

This Yazzii Crafts Project Folder easily holds up to 8 EZSTAX trays. This has a Velcro fold over flap to close. It holds very tightly.

I’m also using the Yazzii Block Showcase Bag below and this can hold up to 15-ish trays. I love the vinyl windows in these bags so I know exactly what’s in them! The bag below is purple believe it or not.

Of course, if you prefer to make your own case, the medium size Pack it In 2.0 from byAnnie fits perfectly too.

byAnnie Pack It In 2.0 (Medium Size works with EZSTAX).

This Pack It In 2.0 beauty below was a fantastic gift from Sandra, one of my viewers. Everyone needs a little Sandra in their life! Sandra, thanks again!

Quilters ‘have to do what they have to’ do to stay organized and these humble EZSTAX, coupled with Yazzi bags, is a classy organization system so we avoid going to pieces. (See what I did there?)

Give this system a try and let me know what you think in the comments below.  Don’t forget to use coupon code PTWT10 for 10% off all Yazzii products on their website.

I don’t have the patience to cut and join all of those little blocks. But I do make embroidered blocks to assemble into quilts. I have found plastic project boxes on Amazon to keep the pieces and parts for projects all together, except for the thread. I don’t travel with my stuff, boring ol’ retired life stuck here at home on the beach. But for those of you that do those things this looks like a great way to keep it all together.

Another enjoyable read! Maureen Lewicki you are a talented writer!👍

  4. I love this system and have started using it. When I get disorganized, my interest in a project slips away and I wind up with a mess and an UFO. Organization keeps me sane and sewing projects fun with less stress. Thank you, Becky, for sharing your organizational skills. And yes, I can attest the Yazzi products are top notch – absolutely no buyers remorse.

12 is not enough for a project, but I feel 48 is too many, could you suggest a package of 24?

I received my ezstacks and 2 Yazzi bags before Christmas
I had planned on giving my daughter a bag with the ezstacks but I decided to keep both for myself
Is that terrible or what lol

Hi Becky, just letting you know that Legit Kits are supposed to be pitched to the Sharks this Friday, Jan 24th. Probably wants to go for licenses to brand names.

Becky- you mentioned during one of your lives that you had talked with someone from EZSTAX. Can we expect a modified bundle or maybe an EZSTAX product geared for stitcher organization? 🤔
