How Do I Find a Topic I Missed or Need a Refresher in a Video from Power Tools With Thread?

When Becky shows us a technique, I kid myself that I will REMEMBER. Good joke. As I sit here, I can’t recall if I had breakfast.

FIRST: Make sure the technique you’re looking for is not in the actual directions of the piece you are making. I have written to Designs by JuJu and Riley Blake several times asking for directions that were actually in the files I had purchased. Sign me embarrassed.

Here’s an explanation of HOW TO FIND A TOPIC I MISSED on a laptop (much simpler than on a phone).

Click on POWERTOOLS WITH THREAD which is a link under every video.

You will see this screen. Click on the magnifier.

 a SEARCH LINE SHOWS UP.

Enter the topic you are looking for. I had entered: magnets for JuJu mini quilt.

You will see a screen that looks like this. There are lots of videos listed, but you can see from the title of the video that the topic you are looking for is discussed.

Don’t have time to watch the whole video? No WORRIES! Click on the video and below the video is the word ASK. Not Comment, look for the word ASK.

Ask (to the right of the video) “Where does Becky show how to use magnets?”

Example: It may say something like: ‘She first mentions using magnets to finish the January mini quilt at (0:06:34) when discussing how to secure the backing of the quilt.’ OR, ‘She describes her process for using magnets to attach the mini quilts to the house between.’ (11:10 – 16:35).

Now you can go to the red line under the video and ‘scrub’ across to the timestamp.

You may have to do a search or two to get the topic you are looking for, but this is often quicker than emailing Becky, or the company to get the info.

Have fun, keep stitching and do as I do, neglect the housework.
