#Kimberbell Autumn Acres Bench Pillow, Continuous Borders, 10 Aug 26
Becky’s back from the East Coast where she taught Snapplique, which Becky says, “will definitely use some brain cells you forgot you had.” It was good to start the day with a chuckle, but the truth is, her teaching style makes things clear and easy to understand.
Becky focuses today on stitching the outer borders on the Autumn Acres Bench Pillow using an end-to-end strip method (8:25). The technique is great for any similar project. Grab the Autumn Acres Bench Pillow Fabric Kit from My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe. Such a sweet addition to Fall decor!
Today, Becky uses SewTites magnets to secure her fabric and batting in the embroidery hoop (42:42).
Becky tapes over the backing of the SewTites so the magnet stays securely in place and doesn’t move during the stitching process (44:28).

Today Becky ‘continues’ her continuous borders for a Kimberbell bench pillow project, emphasizing the importance of using the correct design size and proper stabilizer to avoid alignment issues (4:00)!
What’s new and ‘hot’ in Becky’s sewing room?
The HTVRont Heat Press 2, (Use her link and code power52 for $55 off!), so effective for applying a fusible woven stabilizer to the back of background fabrics or Hot Fix adhesive to her applique projects (20:18).

How to Cut a Quilt Block, Wagon Spoke Block, #CelebratingAmericaQAL, the Stitchuation Room, 8-12-26
Today is quilting day! Becky treats us to a lesson on quilt block cutting and piecing. She deomonstrates her techniques for achieving precision in creating the Wagon Spoke block from the book Celebrate with Quilts.
Becky also demonstrates measuring, trimming frayed edges, and handling directional fabric (24:07) This demo is golden for the quilter and the embroiderer!

Precut Fabric Applique Shapes with Canvas & ScanNCut, #DBJJ Sept Mini, Stitchuation Room, 13 Aug 26
Becky uses Embrilliance with ease. She explains how to create cut files in Embrilliance, exporting them as FCM files (utilizing Stitch Artist 3 for outline reconstruction), and importing them into Brother Canvas Workspace (22:28). This is an excellent tutorial, don’t miss it.
