  1. Glad all is well now, but understand the feelings of frustration. I would have issues for a long time with my Handi Quilter with something making the machine jerk about half way across a row and hand hot figured it out yet. The roof raised off the Studio one day when I had to start ripping out stitches because of the “issue”. Hubby figured out that it was the cord getting in the way and which was causing the machine to jerk when the cord got in the way. So he made another modification to the position of the cord and that issue is gone! Such a pleasure to quilt without issues. Mine is not computerized, but I have enjoy quilting on my HQ – and it is now 12 years old.
All of the machines and frames are so different. You have really earned the money you saved!
Glad to see that you were compensated for all the issues!

We put my new Z44 Grace frame (all wood) together about a week ago and hubby thought that an hour would be plenty of time to do that chore…..It took 6 hours to put that puppy together. Now to get the leaders on and load a small project to “warm up my hand quilting”. I miss my hand quilting, but hated the Grace 24″ frame on a stand. Terrible to hand quilt with!

Now – enjoy your new toy! Sorry it took so long to get where you are now.

Wow, that’s quite a list of issues, so kudos to you for persevering and sorting it all out in the end. I’m amazed that errors like half of these mentioned get as far as they do and wonder how many machines get returned to the dealer. Sounds like they were very pleased with your husband’s diy modifications, though.

I did adjust one of the back wheels. I have the GQ frame. I sent the machine to be upgraded to QuiltEZ electronics and perfect stitch handles, the lighting is great. I do hope it all works now, it has been so frustrating to go to quilt and it doesn’t quilt correctly. Thanks so much for your help
