Are you Prim and Proper? Join me for a Prim Embroider-Along!

Starting November 24, 2025, each week I’ll be stitching up this adorable machine embroidered quilt from Riley Blake called Prim. If you’re an embroiderer and not a quilter, let me introduce you to Lori Holt. Not only is she the fabulous designer of this quilt and fabric line with the same name by Riley Blake, she’s a Queen in the quilting community. Who is Riley Blake? They are a top-notch fabric manufacturer out of Utah.

This quilt can be made in wall hanging and throw sizes. Two Chicks Quilting out of Ganado, Texas is carrying the fabric kit and USB full of the designs. This is a beautiful applique quilt and we’ll do it together step-by-step. Their kit is amazing with each fabric labeled to match the pattern very closely using Lori Holt’s fabrics. The Prim line has been out a while so while some fabrics won’t be exact, we’re fortunate that Lori designs in the same color values so the fabric in the kit will be beautiful even if not exact. Nicole of Two Chicks has an amazing eye for fabric matching.

Riley Blake stitched it up with threads by Robison-Anton, but I’m a Glide girl so here’s a conversion chart if you’ need it. ‘d like to use it. There isn’t anything out there that is exact so some of these colors were eyeballed to match. Sorry, I don’t have one for any other thread collections. I’m certain however that your embroidery software can help you out with its built-in thread conversion feature!

I hope you can join me! I can’t wait to get to that sheep! So cute!

I am so excited to see you are doing this quilt. I can’t wait. I bought this kit when it first came out years ago. I always knew I wanted to do the applique on my embroidery machine, but was very nervous about it. I’m hoping your embroidery along will be just what I need to get going.
Thank you for all you do!
